With Sails Ahead to conduct operation: Darting Eyes, this Wednesday
Every November, the AsterTracks team takes a month off to prepare for Best Of month as well as reflect on the year as a whole. However, the two of us have received some pressing information linked to a string of disappearances that needs to be released to the public immediately. In two days time, New Jersey rock outfit With Sails Ahead are to conduct operation: Darting Eyes within the school the aforementioned disappearances have taken place. Below is a report that we recommend reading in order to remain safe against forces still unseen.
With Sails Ahead’s forthcoming single, seemingly the first in anticipation of their debut record, opens with a sense of urgency. A storm siren followed by a riff that activates a feeling of danger starts things off and utilizes all audio channels, even if only for a moment, to awaken the listener to assailants in close proximity. The lyricism here is quite clever, being dual natured by serving as both a warning to something that may wish to do you harm, but also reminding you that sometimes it isn’t your strength, but your wit that could play a role in your survival. Instrumentally there is a well played progression from the guard dropping opening.
Sierra Binondo, captain of With Sails Ahead, solidifies herself as one of the best in her field here. Sierra pushes her voice, seemingly, to a strain on a chorus so effective that we feel it’s one of the catchiest of the year. This vocal effect is something that drew us to her talents in the first place and this is only driven deeper by a declaration that she “swore she stared at the face of death,” a line whose delivery we’ve been thinking about since this intel was delivered to our office. This chorus and the section after only does a better job of creating a sense of danger and in the post chorus is in its purest form, quick, compact and vital for safety. The track comes to a close with a burst of energy that leaves you out of breath as if it were happening right in front of you, but we’ll leave that confidential until it's available to the public.
Remember to keep an eye out this Wednesday, fifteenth of November, when this operation is conducted. Also be sure to look out this spring for even more action from With Sails Ahead. We thank you for examining this report and hope it assists in your safety and survival. We’d also like to thank With Sails Ahead for leaking this information. The two of us must rest now.
Until December.
